Kielty batting cleanup against RHP?, that's a scary thought, even if you have clinched the division already. unsure.gif

Damn, wasn't even close.

Is it bad that I'd rather see Clayton than Cora?

I hope we see the A lineup tomorrow, because HFA is still on the line, and we likely won't open until Thursday.

Let Hinske play instead of Lowell

3-0 Royals. Clinch tonight, and I couldn't care less who we throw out tomorrow.

Even in today's market, is a 41-year old with 185-190 IP of high-4s ERA worth $4M?

I think so. And if you change that to a mid-4s ERA then definately yes. And I think mid-4s is what can generally be expected of Wake. Pineiro signed for $4M.

Why would Wakefield get better at age 41-42 (turns 42 in August) when his peripherals are getting worse?

As for Piniero, that was one of the worst signings that could possibly be made. Obviously Wakefield's a much better pitcher, but they shouldn't pick his option up because they threw the same amount at Piniero.

Uhh, I think its safe to say that based on last few outing for wakey, he should be # 5 starter in postseason.

1.Beckett
2.Schilling
3. Dice-K
4.lester
5. wakey

He's killing the Sox so far.....two rally killing outs at the plate and a horrible throw in the stands.....thankfully, this should be his only start ever for the Boston Red Sox.

I'd go with that also, but the news that Lester will pitch out of the pen tomorrow probably indicates that he'll be a reliever in the playoffs. Wake has been very, very shaky recently.
SFFM38
Daniel Cabrera is just downright awful.. O's had 6-1 leading at one point and its now tied game 6-6, looks like its a good thing O's fought it hard to win last nite game.

EDIT: UGH, 8 runs in the 4th inning so far and no outs yet! Cano,Giambi, Abreu,Posada is killing them big time
MFLetou
Eh, who cares?

Yeah, so I love ya Timmy, but...I hope I don't see you pitching in the postseason.
SFFM38
MFL, or throw Timmy in BP he can eat up few innings in the post season.. either that or # 5 starter.. but Hes making me too nervous for last few starts!

EDIT: GO ROYALS!!

**** YEAH J.D.!!!!

All you have to do is get hot at the right time.....

Plus, he's climbed back up to .270.......awesome. smile.gif

Thanks Gardenhire. That run doesn't mean anything.

This is not good...Okajima is back!

What? 7 innings, 4 runs, 3 earned isn't Cy Young material, but with this lineup I'll take it every time.
