I've been scouring the web for some kind of notice about when Truck Day is this year, and I can't seem to find anything. Is there a link I have missed somewhere that has the information? I'm assuming it is sometime next week, but need to know the specific date for the sake of my wife, who finds the day amusing enough to make Truck Day cookies each year.

According to Soxaholic, next Monday. You have to look carefully. I suggest using a search for truck once you get to the page.

It has to be either Monday or Tuesday. We might not know till Sportsdesk on Monday morning.

Geesh, Charles Steinberg is gone for just a few short months & the PR machine that is the Red Sox seems to be no more. I thought they'd be selling Truck Day t-shirts by now yet we don't even know when it's scheduled to leave!

Well guess what....Dodger fans know when their trucks are scheduled to depart & it's tomorrow morning (wed. 2/6)

Excerpt for Dodger press release:

Wednesday's journey starts at Dodger Stadium, where players and fans can join together to give a send-off to the official Dodger Equipment Truck that will make its drive to Vero Beach, Florida, to launch Spring Training.

Truck Day for the Dodgers? Is this a new thing for them or something they've always done? I don't follow the Dodgers at all, so I have no idea. But I was always under the impression that Truck Day was a unique Red Sox tradition.

And it was never anything big until the new ownership took over. Truck Day never used to be announced in advance. One day you would just wake up and hear that the truck was leaving for FL!

They even fooled RedSox Annie. I'm guessing they'll cover it on the morning sportsdesk. We still don't know what time they leave so we'll have to check early.

I'm assuming since McCourt, the owner of the Dodgers, is from the Boston area, he asked The Dentist to carry over the Truck Day tradition to LA this year.

I could be wrong, however. But, it makes sense to me.

Thank goodness, people who recognize Truck Day as an actual day. No one here even knows what it is let alone that it's a day and doesn't believe me.

Another Truck Day passes...

Baseball's almost here, Rooters. Fu*k yeah. I'm so pumped.
