Yeah, this will be hilarious when they actually trade or release this kid someday.
The Phillies seem to do this a lot. A couple of years ago Chase Utley hit a game winning HR the day after he was called up from the minors. They called Utley into the managers office the next day and told him that the management hadn't filed the proper paperwork with the leaue for him to be on the big league roster so the Phils had to forfeit the game, his first ML HR didn't count and that Utley was suspended for 30 days.
When Utley finally calmed down he said something like.. "I understand the forfeit and the HR not counting, but why am I suspended when I didn't do anything wrong. How was I supposed to know everything wasn't ok for me to play"
Like the recent joke, the media was in on it and it was all caught on tape.

Right. I know that if I were a ballplayer I would find it hysterical if my bosses joke about my livelihood and firing me/suspending me and costing me money.
Im not saying its not funny, b/c it definitely was and I laughed a ton, but I cant imagine what kind of people run an organization this way. Its crazy. Such a fine line here...

I would love to know that I had been traded for the hot dog eating champion of the world!! I thought that was one of the funniest parts of the video.
