I noticed last night that the Dish Network now has a NESN HD channnel. During Sportsdesk, it wasn't showing anything but this appears to be a very encouraging sign for those who have been waiting. Has anyone heard anything about this? The Bruins play tomorrow night, so I'm hoping that we will know by then if this is going through.

I was wondering the same thing. I guess we either call Dish or watch on the 10th of March there will be a Charlie chat. We are supposed to get ESPN news in HD but are not yet.

The Bruins games over the weekend were in HD. I see that the program guide has tomorrow nights game in Oakland on, so it looks like we will have it. I suspect the Dish Network finally got tired of losing customers to Direct TV and decided to pay NESN to carry the HD broadcast. Maybe they get a discount if they only broadcast the games and no other programming, like the pregame show.

So are you getting the Oakland feed tonight (what we are getting with EI unfortunately) or the NESN feed?

Dish Network carried the NESN HD feed, including the pre game show. I was going to switch to Direct TV when my 18 month commitment was up, but will now probably keep it until Verizon Fios is available in my area.

Is anyone getting tonight's game (4/9) on the NESN HD channel? My standard def channel is working fine, but the HD version has that message about tuning in to see my favorite team that I get when there is no game on.
