You might be wondering what a 'megathread' is and the basic way to explain it is that it is a thread whose topic has a broad spectrum. For example, "The Manny Ramirez Thread" could turn into 532 pages of nonsense where it covers 49 different topics therein. However, a more appropriate title would be more defined to his hitting, a slump he might be having, defensive woes, or how adept he is at selling grills on eBay. We are, as a board, trying to eliminate megathreads at the urgency of many of our posters (and all of our moderators) to increase the level of discussion here.

Please, when you are starting a thread (and we greatly encourage people to start threads to increase discussion) think about narrowing down the topic. From here on all megathreads will be either canned or edited by the Barstaff. If anyone has any questions or suggestions about this, please PM the Barstaff and we will be more than happy to discuss it with you.

Will this thread turn into a megathread about how bad threads that become mega are on bulletin boards like this one.
