Yes, and the A's don't usually give a shot about players' reputations or baggage either. I wonder if they talked to Bonds at all and how much money he'd want. Still, maybe they are worried about a possible trial. That would be pretty heavy. On second thought, Bonds probably wouldn't get the A's into the playoffs this year anyway. Still, he could get fannies into seats, and the A's need all the fannies they can get. All over the place here. I agree with Bean's move, especially at the prorated minimum $$.
