Full Version: Milwaukee at BOSTON, Saturday, May 17, 2008 - Game 2
Royal Rooters > THE COOLER > ROYAL ROOTERS ARCHIVES > 2008 REGULAR SEASON GAME THREADS
RedSoxAnni
Game time: 8:35 pm

Scheduled starters: Dave Bush (1-4, 6.06) v. Tim Wakefield (3-2, 4.25)

The game will be on NESN

Boston weather: 7 pm observation at KBOS: Wind out of the east at 14 mph, visibility 10 miles, few clouds at 10,000 feet, temperature 58F, DP 45F

Forecast: A cold front is moving into eastern NY at 7 pm. Right now, the eastern edge of the rain is at Albany. There were some embedded thunderstorms earlier, but it looks like the upper air is too cold to sustain the convection, and they'll die out before they get to Boston. We're starting to see some mid-level clouds now, and some light rain could be in Boston before the end of the game, but they should be able to get this one in. It will be cool tonight, in the low 50s by the end of the game. The wind will be blowing in.

Anybody know if this is on EI? Not seeing a listing, but maybe that's because of the doubleheader.

I would assume so -- it's a night game, so it's outside of Fox's exclusive window.

I don't even look at the EI listings anymore...now that they're doing home and away broadcasts for everything (on DirecTV, anyway), I just tune directly to NESN.

Ahhh, all this action started with two outs. Bring him in Drew.

Yes, Waker would appear to be dealing today.

I knew these NL punks were just what the Dr. ordered...

wow 2 games in one day, beautifal thing the double header

what a fricking shame i have to go to work.............bugger!!!!

Man, Aarsmada ( whatever it spells ) nearly threw the game away. Sure, he can throw 97-99's but whenever he tries to throw breaking ball or slider balls thats when it gets ugly fast!

Mother****er.

Well, they're goign to need a handful of runs off the Milwaukee pen, since we're not in great shape in terms of our own. Pap and Delcarmen threw the early game(I assume Papelbon could probably give them another one if necessary tonight), Okajima's out...so after Hansen we're basically banking on Javy Lopez and Mike Timlin keeping us in it through the 8th.

The thing on our side is having a pinch-hitter like Manny on the bench.

BamaBoSox, you dumbass.

Now Weeks catches the error bug. Think these errors have anything to do with having to play 18 innings between 3:55 and midnight?

And Now Hall! This game is UGLY. Salomon Torres' WPA is an unfair -.418

That called third strike on Lowell was a ball, and live, Youk looked like he may have got in there, but I need to see a replay before I can whine about that.
BamaBoSox
Who do we have warming up for the 9th? I wouldn't think Paps would pitch twice in one day.

Well, I'm not wearing a cap, but if I was I'd tip it to Mike Timlin for the perfect ninth. That was a pleasant surprise.
