Curve ball to Braun didn't do much. That guy confidently puts a big swing on it though. He did have to meet up with it just right.

Yeah and just as quickly as I type the post, he rings up the last two outs of the inning. OK, wrong for the first time in the last five minutes.

Yeah, Chip Caray must have studied at the Joe Morgan School for Broadcasting. Be thankful he is not the regular announcer, like my dad has to listen to on a nightly basis since he is one of the Braves announcers.

I thought Manny was going to make it three, had flashbacks to the 4 HR back to back to back to back against the Yankees last year. Now keep mowing them down Josh (3 - 4 - 5 up).

So, this guy on the mound for the Brewers is without question the better looking of the Charlie Villanuevas to play professional sports in Milwaukee.
But he doesn't look like the better player.

Where was Lugo even going on that one...
It was terrible baserunning.
And unfortunate, because it set up the Ellsbury CS.
But I am still a little bit surprised that that was considered far enough out of the baseline to be called out. Didn't seem to be any sustained argument, so maybe I'm wrong. It's happened, I think, three times before. Maybe a few more times.

Let's hope the caught-stealing makes Jacoby go on a rampage. I'd like that.
Little late, but: what's with Beckett and the home run ball? Other than those two mistakes, he's looked pretty darn good.

Is Beckett just getting lazy? Is he distracted by something? Definitely not consistent. 93 pitches in the books - I'd take him out - except, well, we don't have anyone in the bullpen who can be trusted, either... Argh!

Probably not on the JD question, unless he could have gotten a great jump on the ball. Ells kind of switched directions a tad as if the wind carried the ball a bit deeper. Nice adjustment and love that speed. Speed kills, they say.
Thank you to TBS for taking on Sunday games, and this one was even in HD. The previous Sunday telecast by TBS involving the Sox (I believe) Josh also pitched, came out for MDC who then gave up a grand slam to Frank Thomas. I liked today much better, to say the least. Josh needs to throw some off plate pitches more when he's ahead like MDC and Paps did. They both got strikeouts on pitches (splitters probably) that almost bounced. Do that some, Josh.
