Well, I wouldn't say the word girth and the name Papelbon (or, say Bruce Hurst) belong in the same sentence.
girth: The distance around something; the circumference.
Size; bulk: a person of large girth.
Masterson weights at 250?? Wow, I would have never guessed that not by a long shot.
That strike 3 call was one hell of an uppercut. I wouldn't want to be Glass Joe standing in against that.

Yes, and I keep getting baseball replys??!
I only watched a few innings, but he was doing a good job of throwing strikes and staying ahead in the count. I think he topped out at 95 MPH. Not too shabby for a scrapheap pickup over the offseason. It sure is nice having this kind of depth in the rotation.
