Where the f*ck did this "small ball" crap come from?

I love Terry, but he's not nearly smart enough to handle that.
acr
What the **** was that???

This is an absurdly retarded job of game management by Tito through the first two innings....everyone and their mother is hitting Cabrera, yet he's called for two bunts, including a dumb failed suicide squeeze.

I don't understand...this is just...mindnumbingly stupid.
acr
This is ****ing pathetic.

I just know we're going to lose by a run after we wasted two outs(and at least one run) trying to bunt when Cabrera was incredibly hittable in the first two innings...watch him shut us down the next 7.
jbelushi
that was a pretty ordinary throw by tek

And drier than a fast week.

Whatever that might mean.

There is one game that matters tonight, and it's not really this one...although, I'm watching the Sox for now.

yes rominer, i am aware of that mate, would have been a bugger of a night for the nerves if the boys didnt hang on the other night though....anyway i hope they get it done tonight..

I really hope the offense comes through and beckett doesn't get hung out after another solid pitching performance..........

yeah same here

he is just so cool on the mound, bases loaded, tied game, 6th inning, no probs, not a drop of sweat, not a change in his tempo or cadence, he is an original iceman, no doubt, a damn pleasure to watch

So much for the bats waking up....2 runs through 1, and 2 runs through 10!
acr
You'd think the frickin' top of the order would put up more of a fight with their closer out of the game
samba guy
Well, Hansen survived the pressure for this one. If he didn't I was sure he wouldn't be playing for the Sox again.

I'm very relieved he got us through it, but I'm done with this dicking around with middle relievers...Papelbon better be in the game in the bottom half, lead or no lead.

I wish Manny would've made this guy throw more pitches...the O's are running out of relievers, giving him one-pitch outs is not productive.

We've been victimized by atom balls the last two innings.
-
But no, Criag Hansen who barely got out of the tenth is back on the mound for the 11th, even though Papelbon hasn't pitched since Monday. **** you Terry.

?7 for 19 this year
acr
Major respect to Hansen tonight, he's earning himself a place on this team.

Papelbon still should've been in there, but I'm sure he will be next inning. We just need some offense...hopefully the bottom of the order can drain their relievers this inning so the top can get them when they're tired out
Jack Hayden
Why haven't we seen JD Drew yet? Is he dinged up? Getting that OBP in there instead of Crisp would've been nice.

Out with Vertigo

<Put U2 joke here>

I guess the Sox are waiting until the Celtics game is over so that everyone can see them when they win.
acr
WHY MIKE TIMLIN IN GAME?

I just...there's no logical...I....how...*explode*
BigSlick
Throw ****ing strikes!!!
Jack Hayden
... MIKE TIMLIN WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY???????
acr
Timlin elicits a DP ball to luckily get out of danger...and Julio L:ugo ****s it up.
BigSlick
WHEW!

It's really awesome when you have a historically great relief pitcher so that he can watch you lose the game in the 11th while sitting in the bullpen.
acr
This would be a great time for Manny to hit #500.
acr
Thank you Mike Lowell

I can't believe we might steal a game where Mike Timlin pitched with the bases loaded in a walkoff inning where Julio Lugo made an error.

This could be a big momentum booster.

We may actually win this game without using Paps.

Edit: That's weird, I never say "we" like that... oh well.

Understood. I'm a college basketball junkie, but I've never been much of an NBA fan. I was watching between innings and will likely pay a lot of attention to the Finals.

Edit: and I had tix for tomorrow but had to sell them. I might be going Monday Night. If Manny doesn't homer Sat or Sun I'll almost positively be there.
MFLetou
Yeah, I just have a hard time watching any of the Sox games when I'm so tuned up and into intense Celtics games...(playoffs). I really can't even flip over to it. The pace is so much slower and the intensity is so much less. And I like baseball better than any other sport, the Sox are my #1 team.

(I'm actually not 100% sure to be at Monday's game, but it is likely.)
