Game time: 1:35 pm

Scheduled starters: Bartolo Colon (2-0, 2.25) v. Brian Burres (4-4, 4.15)

The game will be on NESN.

Baltimore weather: 1 pm observation at KBWI: Wind out of the west at 13 mph with gusts to 24 mph, visibility 10 miles, scattered clouds at 6,000 and 12,000 feet, broken layer at 20,000 feet, temperature 82F, DP 56F

Forecast: A summer afternoon... It will be warm, and the humidity is building, but it shouldn't be uncomfortable. The winds will be gusty and out of the west, which is blowing from third toward right. There's an upper level disturbance west of the area, and with some instability there's a chance of popup showers and thundershowers, but nothing that should affect the game other than a possible brief delay.

Got a cell heading for Baltimore at the moment, looks to be about an hour out. Seems like its veering off to the north slightly, so lets hope it stays away...

UPDATE: Few cells also behind this one are moving down from the Hagerstown area. Very small cells so nothing that will wash out the game, just a possible delay or 2.

If all you folks down in Virginia face north and blow real hard, maybe...

Papi is going to have an MRI on his wrist. Right now, they are calling it a sprain, but are waiting for more info. It looks like he'll be out a few days, at the least.

Great throw to get Ellsbury...but was he ever actually tagged?

It really does take an absolutely perfect throw. Oh well.

O's announcers getting a bit ahead of themselves on the call of the double...

Nice situational hitting by the Captain, and J.D. cashes it in. Me likey.

And a nice AB by Mr. Bailey, even if he got hosed on the call of the last pitch. I gotta like anyone named Jeff.

Every time I hear "Luke Sc---," I'm already hearing "--ywalker" in my head before they get out the "--ott."

Did Jim Palmer just say that Manny as a .342 lifetime average against lefthanders but is yet to hit a home run? When, today?

Edit: And Jim just said that David Ortiz is not a pull hitter... Hmm. Does Jim know about the shift?
SoxAroundTheWorld
Didn't take long to get 501! Time for ManRam to go on a tear.

Edit: Followed by WS MVP! I'm enjoying this game (apparently alone...)

J.D.! Having himself a nice afternoon.

Three runs in six innings from BC? I'll take that any day.

... and it's Sunday Water time. I like winning. It's better than losing.
