I would like to place an order for double from Youkilis at this point.

Just joining - darn summer vacation lets the kids stay up too late. I see the Sox have already squandered a bases loaded opportunity. I'll take the silver lining and say they'll get to Mr. Möhler. Go get 'em, Josh: Nice performance for the home town crowd, please!
SoxAroundTheWorld
Not a bad AB for Beckett, even if it resulted in a K.

Here I am thinking Beckett looks real good on the hill when Blum goes deep. Runs, please!

"Extended Funk" would be a good name for a band featuring Varitek.

Geesh...Beckett's not getting hits but he's hitting the ball harder than Tek.

The Mets v Yanks game on TBS is a nice option during commercials breaks.

Just a comment: I ran out for beers a few innings back & caught a 1/2 inning on the radio.
The announcers were talking about Clemens and commented how they were surprised how unpopular he was right now in Houston. They thought he would have gotten the treatment that Bonds gets in San Fran but instead he's getting left out of media & charity events in the Texas region & it was their observation that TX fans weren't in support of him.

The Carlos Lee fan club cracks me up w/ their straw cowboys hats & 'stick horses' (if that's what they're called). Looks like they create a fun atmosphere.....the same for the Berkman fans with their puma suits....I don't get it but they seem fun.

2 on, 2 out...and a 95 MPH pitch for the K - Wigginton just looked over matched in that at bat

Beckett looked better striking out than Tek has looked at the plate...

As for Clemens, why should 'Stros fans be particularly sympathetic? He dumped them to go back to his New York whore, and didn't exactly do them any favors in the World Series, either.

How is it possible that the Sox have let Möhler settle down?

Well, Moehler has had some solid outings this season but he's can melt down @ at any time (I was just looking at his game log online).

He's @ 91 pitches through 5 now...he can't last much longer.We need some bats here!!!

edit: Nice, Dustin 'Red Hot' P.Diddy up with the bases juiced.........

Man-My Manny ties it on a tater.

The top of the order will come around again....Yanks lost but TB won today....I want this game!
SoxAroundTheWorld
Manny homers to tie the game as Spain defeats Germany for the European Football (Soccer) Championship. I live in parallel worlds...!
rominer
This plate ump has just been making stuff up all game. He has no clue.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Let's have Manny bat this inning so that Moss can replace him and put the pitcher in the clean=up slot. Or at least have him replace Drew. With Coco out, Jacoby's not going anywhere.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Oki coming in. I miss the good feeling I used to have when that was the case...

With the conditional exception for Paps, I miss the good feeling when I used to have about our BP in general.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Rally time. At least the right guys are coming up. Drew needs to wake up, Manny needs to stay awake and Lowell needs to keep on keeping on. This can be done.
GreenBud
Well that sucked. And so does Okajima.
rominer
That was embarrassing.

Also, that was just stupid. I am not sure how exactly Manny was out at second base just now. But whatever. To score fewer than 15 runs with how Moehler pitched today is a joke. He was terrible, and all we managed were a couple of solo home runs. Not one of the better performances by the team today.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Hello second place. I really don't like losing series to bad teams. Now 3-12 indoors as they head to the Trop. Oh boy!

One comment: 'bbboooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!'

That is all.

This team is so talented, has a giant payroll, yet seems to do almost everything wrong.

The bullpen's going to get a lot of blame, as they should for blowing the last two, but there's no excuse for only scoring one run off ****ing Brian Moehler today, or Lester giving up so many runs last night.

They never put the good offensive day and good pitching day together...nope, it's always amazing pitching and lose 3-2, or hit the cover off the ball and lose 15-10. So ****ing frustrating, this team should be at least 5 games better than they are right now, and now they're technically in second place(even if the Rays are a collapse waiting to happen, so I'm not concerned about them at all, aside from the ego hit for being in 2nd at this point). It's a good thing the Yanks pitching staff sucks and put them in a huge hole in April and May.

Hopefully we can win no less than 5 of the 7 upcoming divisional games so we can get some space ahead of the pack, and the annoying wad Rays fans will stop acting like they're going to actually win 81 games.

This statement would make a ton of sense if the Sox were not within one win of having the best winning percentage in MLB.
