The Red Sox and Major League Baseball officials are planning tight security in Florida Monday when Boston plays the Devil Rays after the team received a threat against the club's black and Latin players.
The team received a threat mailed from the Memphis, Tenn., area targeting the players and citing at least two by name, the Boston Herald reported.
The Sox are sending some of the team's top security officials as is MLB and both the FBI and local law enforcement officials in Florida have been advised of the threat.
