Wow almost no posts for such a big game
Is Ellsbury ever going to hit again? I am becoming really sick of this slump
Is there some sort of rule that whoever is playing shortstop has to make a crushing mistake with two out in every opportunity possible?

Jacoby's speed is getting some results so far. Too bad no one else is contributing.

Jacoby is looking Ichiro-esque in causing errors because of his speed. At least Pedroia didn't make an out on the next pitch without advancing him this time.

ok this worked for ellsbury. Is Drew ever going to hit again I am sick of this slump
What the **** is wrong with this offense?
Tying and Go-Ahead runs on, and the 3-4 batters don't even advance them...meanwhile Manny gets overpowered by Matt Garza's 93 MPH fastball right down the middle of the plate. And they've had about 6 or 7 warning track flyouts.
This is a damn joke, I can understand getting shut down by a Shields or Kazmir, but ****ign Garza? **** you Red Sox.

I will say that there have been a bunch of at-em balls today.

THey're making great contact, but nothing but atom balls and warning track flies.
WHAT???**** YOU EVA LONGORIA**** YOU, **** TAMPA, **** YOUR COWBELLS, "FANS", AND YOUR FLUKE DEFENSIVE PLAYS AND ATOM BALLS SAVING YOUR ASS WHEN THE SOX CRUSH EVERY FLAT FASTBALL OFF YOUR GOD DAMN AAA STARTER.**** YOU.
Casey's hitting .350 against lefties, so he calls him back AGAIN, this time for Jason Varitek's corpse, which is batting 0 for the last 6 weeks/?!?!?!?
****ing inexcusable decision.

What does Drew want?

Jul 1 2008, 08:20 PM
JD Drew has been carrying this team for a long time. Now that he's back to his normal self, the team can't pick up the slack.
Last ups against Grant Balfour, whose 2008 ERA is 1/5th his career total, and his WHIP this year half his career number...those have to come back to average sometime. Let's start now.
That is if Hansen doesn't totally **** it up first.

If, after the Sox leave the state, Florida decides to fall into the ocean, I won't feel sad.
Tying run coming to the plate in the form of Jason "0 for June" Varitek.

Alex Cora was just thinking of the fans there. He figured it'd be less painful for the game to end on the basepaths than watching Varitek flail around out there.

I'll forgive their celebration. After being shitty for a long time and finally having your work pay off, you're allowed to.
