Here's some p*ssed off Brett mojo:

Fortune Teller says: 'Lowell & Papi combine for a 7 for 9 night'

I believe her.

early hits are good, just got to keep hitting during the middle innings
BigSlick
Watching the decomposing corpse of Jason Varitek bat is really getting depressing.

Wow. I never want to see Lugo again. What a great play by Lowrie!

not only is it depressing, its sad, it really is
BigSlick
What's the politically correct way to quickly say that Beckett struck out 3 in a row?

As it gets worse with every swing and miss.

I'm stuck at work.

No TV with EI here.

At home there's no computer.

So I can only post in these game threads if I'm not watching the game.

Oh the irony.

i have no idea but it was a bonehead play
CTLovesTheSox
QUOTE(DCA @ Aug 5 2008, 10:04 PM) *
What happened?

Pedroia grounded to 3rd, Gordon bobbled the ball, makes the throw and Pedroia is safe. Tek had scored, Ellsbury tried coming around from 2nd and was tagged out. He couldn't slide under the tag as the bat was in the way.
BigSlick
QUOTE(DCA @ Aug 5 2008, 10:04 PM) *
What happened?

2nd and 3rd 2 outs. tough grounder down the 3rd base line, 3rd baseman throws an off balance bouncer to 1st. Ellsbury, who was on 2nd, never stopped running and got thrown out at home.

That Bay double may have been the single weirdest play that I have ever seen.

I think the play at Yankee Stadium with Damon crashing into the wall edges it out.

And Lowrie with a triple!
rpry17a
Ross Gload is awesome. That was sweet.

That Gay guy sucks. I can't believe we got him. Manny is the best! 500 homeruns hall of fame!

I can't believe he's only 8 for 20 with a homer and 6 rbi in 5 games. You suck, Theo!

Holycrap, that was a quick exit for Beckett when Tito took him out.. I didn't think Tito would take him out that fast!

If the score was closer he might not have. With it 8-1 he can hopefully survive Timlin.

See my post above, and add in the fact that it's 100 degrees, which is 38 degrees to you.

God the umpiring this series has been abysmal.

Atta boy, Tejeda. Raise your hands to the sky for keeping it a 6 run game.

No, it's disgustingly hot and humid. No need to burn him out in a game that should be in the bag.

I just got back to the computer from the bar and I was talking with some dude at the bar about how baseball always has some plays, scoring rules, etc. that come out to surprise you, and then Bay hit that double.

I've never seen anything like it. What weird stuff.
