Royal Rooters > THE COOLER > ROYAL ROOTERS ARCHIVES > 2008 REGULAR SEASON GAME THREADS
RedSoxAnni
Game time: 8:10 pm EDT (7:10 pm CDT)

Scheduled starters: Tim Wakefield (6-8, 3.77) v. Luke Hochevar (6-9, 5.42)

The game will be on NESN.

Kansas City weather: 5 pm CDT (6 pm EDT) observation at KMKC: Wind out of the northeast at 12 mph, visibility 10 miles, few clouds at 3,600 feet, temperature 83F, DP 68F

Forecast: The front is south of KC, and it's about 10 degrees cooler than it was at game time last night, although it's still humid. A possible complication tonight could be rain or thunderstorms. Current radar shows some light rain in the area; it's raining at Topeka, which is about 40 miles west. There's some convective activity to the west, but that appears to be tracking southeast, and will pass south of the KC area. There's enough instability and enough sunshine today to maybe trigger some storms tonight, but it won't be a washout. The wind will be blowing in from center.

That is a very interesting lineup.

Moving Lowrie to second and Elsbury to seventh seems to break up the 7-9th "hole" very nicely.

We shall see.

and giving grandson a rest is interesting as well

Why the hell is Bay hitting 6th tonight? I can buy Youk hitting before him, but an injured Mike Lowell? Really?

Playing down in Pawtucket barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was feeling kinda low
then he got his big chance cause an injury to Julio

(Lugo that is, bad defense, waste of money)

My response to the catch by Ellsbury = Wow.

I'd change "cause an injury to Julio"

to: "to play ball in the show"

not because my line is better, but because I want to forget that Julio Lugo even exists.

No game tomorrow and trying to get the pen some work in a safe situation.

Someone mentioned Lowell hitting before Bay, I don't get it either as Lowell has been terrible lately and the hip problem can't help. It sure seems to be working for Bay though.
