Adding insult to injury for you...it's some idiot who spent parts of 3 seasons playing for the Boston Red Sox. Parts of no seasons at all playing for the Chicago White Sox.
Of course, I'd want to forget my time with the Red Sox, too, if I had an embarrassing 1-13 showing for the Sox in the '67 World Series.
I'm so glad DirecTV gives home and away broadcasts this year.

It's weird that they were looking at his ankle...he was grabbing the back of his thigh. I figured it was a hamstring at first. Could be an achilles with the sudden stop/change of direction. He had an awful lot of crap in his spikes. If that was from that play, then achilles is very plausible (and that grounds crew should be ashamed).

Lowrie looks too tentative on the basepaths. Not scoring there was as bad as Suppan in the '04 series, considering Suppan is a pitcher. Of course, with Tek up next it makes it look twice as bad.

Varitek has a pretty good OBP this year relative to his batting average (which, of course, still makes it a horrific OBP) - but he could probably add 20 points to his average and 40 points to his OBP if he would stop chasing those high pitches.

Good job not trading for Uribe. He looks to be gaining on Mo Vaughn at this point.
Edit, so Dice-K walks him. And ****s up the bunt by Pierzynski. This team is so screwed on the road.

I take it you're watching WGN? You'd think if the other team's starter had to leave in the 2nd inning, you'd probably get a run or two off the next guy? Not our heroes.

Jason Bay's biggest weakness as a hitter seems to be the hanging breaking ball.
He doesn't seem to chase too many breaking balls way out of the zone. And the ones in the zone that do more or less what the pitcher wants, he appears to be able to foul off or put into play (though, more often for ground balls than solid hits). The hangers, though - the ones that he should be putting into the seats - he seems to always swing right through.
I wonder if that's a "The NL is fastball league" adjustment that he's in the process of making, or if it's a glaring hole in his swing?

If we can get this Daisuke for the stretch run, and not the one who walks everyone under the sun, we'll be in damn good shape.
