QUOTE
David Ortiz has the night off as the Red Sox wrap up their four-game series in Chicago. No word yet on the reason for Ortiz's respite. Tonight's Red Sox lineup:
1. Coco Crisp, CF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Kevin Youkilis, 1B
4. Mike Lowell, 3B
5. Jason Bay, LF
6. J.D. Drew, DH
7. Jed Lowrie, SS
8. Jason Varitek, C
9. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
-- Josh Beckett, SP

Globe misprint shows both Crisp and Ellsbury in CF - wonder if Bay is going to RF for this game, Lord knows that there will be a lot of guys going from 1st to 3rd if Coco and Jacoby are there...

i swear its the most annoying thing ive ever heard, drives me insane

Wow, Danks with the no hitter through four innings. I sure hope no one jinxes it by talking about it!
SFFM38
banghead.gif This team has got to improve on Road Trips.. EVERY frigging time RS goes on road trip it seems like everything has gone to shat..

FYI 2007 RS record for Road games are 45-36.

It starting to feel like the Red Sox are at risk of being no hit by somebody on a weekly basis. Something has to happen with the bats, watching Lowell in the 4 spot in the lineup is getting painful, but it's tough to say who would be better there at this point. At this rate they might have to try Pedroia there (kidding...kinda).

I hope this NO HITTER doesn't last too much longer...
jbelushi
its like they truly are asleep
Lesbian BoyFriend
Danks is perfect through 5, and the offense is blowing more than my mother on Prom night.
retire25
Two no-hit bids against us in a couple of weeks. WTF?
Lesbian BoyFriend
Ellsbury got plunked.
RedSoxAnni
Well, we have a baserunner. Now let's break up the no-hitter!
thanman2
Helluva way to lose a perfecto...
millar goes yard
Hey, look on the bright side. It's a one run game. We do pretty well in those, don't we? Oh, never mind.
MAD SoxFan
SO DANKS IS THROWING A NO HITTER?
Lesbian BoyFriend
What's lost in this pathetic showing by our "Offense" is the terrific performance Josh is giving us.
6 IP 6 H 1 R 7K

Hmm How about that NO HITTER that Danks is throwing?
jbelushi

MFLetou
Thank God. I was watching Misty May and Walsh's butts and flipping and I didn't even realize we were being no-no'd until just now when I sat down.
Lesbian BoyFriend
Ok, time to win the game now.

Edit: A really Gay HR right now would be awesome
MFLetou
Jeez...Bay's swing through some pretty hittable pitches.
Lesbian BoyFriend
Well that sucked...........Comeon Nancy

We need eight from Josh and then turn it over to the crazy man for the ninth. No MDC or Oki.
SFFM38
Juan Urbine really is UGLY.. look at "Blonde" dye color for Goatee..
Lesbian BoyFriend
Solid job by Josh so far.
jbelushi
WTG josh, your the man

danks goes from throwing a no no , to being on the hook for the loss, gotta love that
SFFM38
He must have heard about me making a comment about his Goatee.
Cambridge
A bloop and a sac bunt. The small ball Sox.
retire25
Twins 4, Pigs 0 in the eighth.

The Pigs are very close to falling out of this race. thumbsup.gif

Michael Phelps is about to swim for his 3rd gold medal if you can pull yourselves away from the Red Sox to watch.

Edit: it's over

I can't. I just can't get into the Olympics. Best of luck to the lad, though.

Edit: What a Gay blooper.1st 2nd, no outs.
GreenMountainSoxFan
Nice of Drew to keep the save situation for Papelbon. That's some good teamwork there!

Edit: I am very impressed with the apparent attitude and execution in the late innings here after 6+ dominant innings by Danks. On the road no less!

Edit 2: Damnit Ellsbury! No save for Papelbon. What were you thinking, driving in a run like that. Selfish.
jbelushi
very nice by lowrie
Lesbian BoyFriend
Comeon Jacoby, save Paps' arm(my opponent has him this week), and get a single :-D

Edit: JACOBY!!!!!!!! I love you!
MoVaughn.Org
Now Lowrie has 2 more RBIs than Lugo, in less than half of the number of games played.
