Looks like Tito is getting into a postseason frame of mind with that lineup.

No announcement yet, but I don't think they will start this game on time.
KBOS weather at 6 pm: Wind out of the southeast at 5 mph, visibility 2.5 miles in rain, fog, and mist, few clouds at 600 feet, overcast at 2,500 feet, temperature 67F, D) 65F
It looks like this rain will slide to the northeast, with the bulk of the rain staying west of Fenway Park. I think they might be able to start around 8 pm.

Yeah that's a great looking lineup with as good a lefty-righty alternation as they can get. And Varitek is rightfully in the 9-spot. I also like Lowrie backing up Bay, and Casey backing up Lowrie. Hopefully Ellsbury's (I guess his butt is feeling better) past success against Halladay will continue and give him some confidence as a leadoff hitter.
Go Paul Byrd!

We are officially in a rain delay.
7 pm weather at KBOS: Wind out of the west at 5 mph, visibility 6 miles in rain, fog, and mist, few clouds at 3,100 feet, scattered clouds at 4,500 feet, overcast at 10,000 feet, temperature 66F, DP 62F.
There's still a good bit of rain out there. It does look like the heaviest rain will track off to the west of Fenway, but there's still some heavy rain on its way.
This could be a long night.

On ESPN.com it also says its postponed. So I'm guessing there will be a day-night double-header tomorrow.

Red Sox web site says PPD, with a Sept. 13 make-up date.

The weather does not look good for tomorrow during the day, so that's most likely why they won't try to play two tomorrow.
