Josh is pitching today which lowers the number of runs needed. Still though, 1 run is not going to win you many ballgames.
Bosredsox5
Oh man, you see that single that went past a diving Cora?

The man is a freaking statue, any other shortstop in the league would have made that a rather uninteresting out, for Cora it's a single past his glove. You're telling me there's not a better option somewhere out there? Sheesh!
Lesbian BoyFriend
Wow well this sucks. Way to suck Josh.

They're always good when they play the Sox.

Nice to see Beckett was ready to pitch today.
SFFM38
Damn, this is like a nightmare.. 36 ****ing pitches in 1st inning for Beckett.

Aardsma warming up in the 1st with Beckett starting... WTF is wrong with you, Josh??? barf.gif

This could be a LONG LONG afternoon.. and the Pigs are winning again.. so this would mean Pigs would have gained 2 games on us just like that. banghead.gif
Bosredsox5
So much for Josh being the stopper. Long live Lester! He's the ace of the staff!

You should be more concerned about either the Twins or White Sox. thumbsup.gif
GreenBud
That's some ace.

Tough one today. I'll let the rest of you start crying that the sky is falling.
Bosredsox5
Man, NESN should just cut to game 5 of the 99 ALDS.

Well, there's a reason for the Sox not playing up to last year's pace that wasn't expected: Beckett's extreme inconsistency. He probably went back to Texas and celebrated all winter. If this team gets nosed out for the playoffs by the Twins, what a major disappointment. The White Sox at least have a lot of power and decent pitching.
Red Sox Fan2
I'm another brilliant pitching performance wasted, now if only we could get some offense whistle.gif:
Malzone64
Watched an old friend pitch an inning for the Braves just now...Julian Tavarez. He looked pretty good, and, if anything, a little Louie Tiant-ish. Of course, Tim Lincecum is mowing down the Braves.
Malzone64
And Manny crushes one about 450' off Jeff Suppan on the first pitch he sees.

Great baseball day. banghead.gif
Red Sox Fan2
This is Jason Bay's fault. His inability to help inspire Beckett (the team as a whole must contribute for this to work) caused this team to lose this game. In fact, does anyone really wonder why the bats fell silent last night? DFA this emotionless AAA player. Club house chemistry cost us these last 2 games.
