I have finally given up on hoping Daisuke keeps the pitch count down. Just find a way to win the freaking game.
Red Sox Fan2
I'm feeling good about today. Crush these f**kers.

It looks like there's some rain in the area, so maybe the roof will be closed today. It's not raining at the Toronto airports, but there is rain just to the southwest of Toronto at 12:30 pm.

Gotta love this quote from Ortiz yesterday...

QUOTE
“We’re fine, bro,” Ortiz said yesterday. “We go through this (expletive) every year. And at the end of the year, we’ll take another ring for us.”

Now it's time to go out and prove it.

Amazin', but not in a Mets kind of way is Dustin Pedroia. He is a giant killer and the future seasons appear bright for the Sox as long as Pedroia is the Destroya' in Boston. The Sox are becoming Dustin's team. Captain 2.
SFFM38
banghead.gif Rocco just had 2R HR shot off Bueherle, This game is being aired on TBS.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Coco just hit a 1R HR shot off Burnett. The Sox game is being aired on MLB.TV. And it is a good one. 5-5 in the 7th. Anyone else watching?

Fake edit, as the crickets chirp: still 5-5 headed to the bottom of the 9th. Heckuva game.
TreeRol
Was watching the water polo gold medal match. Now I'm listening to the game. Damn, we just can't put 'em away, can we?
MFLetou
We just don't seem to have much urgency. I can't say its lack of effort, but some of these at bats really suck.
SoxAroundTheWorld
Jason Bay makes a spectacular play to get us to the 11th. Now let's score, please!

Edit: Thx, Jed! So, does Paps close it with a 3rd inning of work?
TreeRol
JED LOWRIE!!
MFLetou
Screw you, Francona.

Unlike last year, you don't have the luxury of a zillion game lead in the wild card as a backup plan. We need this game. Its not going to kill Jonathan Papelbon to throw another dozen or so pitches.

Instead here's Manny Delcarmen trying to find himself in the middle of a pennant race.
SoxAroundTheWorld
MDC's driving me nuts ... again. Grr!

Edit: Nah, had it all the way. He was just toying with them. G'night, all! Water!!!

If the Jays played everyone as tough as they played against us, theyd be a playoff team.

I don't understand why they're not in better standing tha they are. With a rotation of Halladay-Burnett-Marcum-Litsch and a servicable 5th guy in McGowen, and a great bullpen. Players have gone in and out of the lineup all year like revolving doors, but Rios, Wells, Overbay, and Lind have been damn good hitters. Wells' injury and wasting Lind's ABs on Wilkerson/Stewart for most of the year probably cost them 5 games in the standings.

Put them together with the Rangers and they'd be a heck of a team.

They really responded to getting Gaston back as manager. Gibbons was a hack and it was surprising he lasted as long as he did.
