As many of you experienced firsthand, last year our two Royal Rooters outings to Fenway produced some spectacularly good times. We had much booze consumed, a raucous in-game mocking of rightfielders, and a pre-game party the night before which rendered some folks semi-incapacitated as they lay motionless for hours the next morning in their dive hotel room across the street from the lyric little bandbox.

Anyway, pretty good times were had. There was even a GoNM sighting, and we found out his kid looks a bit like Craig Hansen.

This year, we have secured 50 tickets to the July 29 game against the Angels and 50 tickets to the Sept. 2 game against Toronto. Both are Saturday games, per Sox Sweep Again's directive. And cross your fingers, but I'm pretty sure that the tickets are all together this time.

As always, one of the benefits of supporterdom is that you guys/gals get first crack at the tickets. I'll keep this thread only in the clubhouse for a few days, then open it up to the heathens. It is imperative we sell some of the tickets quickly this year, because barstaff has extended our own funds to buy the tix. The price includes a contribution to rent a room at Boston Billiards before the game to get everyone together.

The first interested parties to post in this thread will get the tickets. Please heed all the instructions below:

Tickets: Bleachers.
Ticket price: $33 ($23.10 cost, plus $1 Sox surcharge, plus money for postage and envelopes and pre-game outing)
Dates: Saturday, July 29 vs. L.A. Angels (1:20 p.m.) OR Saturday, Sept. 2 vs. Blue Jays (7 p.m.)
Special Instructions: Please please please put your RSN.Net screen name and which game you want to buy tickets for along with real name and address in the "screen name/real name/address" box when you pay via PayPal (it's below the financial info).
Snail Mail Payment: PM MALC for instructions, but still post in the thread to reserve your spot in "line".

Will I actually meet you this time, BillyJo? Last year was a little tough, since the tickets were all scattered. But the guy on the ticket line said we have Section 42 rows 38 and 39 for both games, so I think we're all one large rowdy group this time.

On a side note, 9/2 vs the Angels? Wow. September 2nd, 2004 against the Angels happens to be the game I got kicked out of. Of course, we all know what happened shortly thereafter. I now see my mission for this year... it is all so clear to me... :beer

Um, yeah ... crack baby, the Angels game is the 7/29 game. Blue Jays are 9/2. ;)

10 sold for July 29 so far. 5 sold for Sept. 2.
