Ryan Westmoreland announced his retirement. Unfortunate how things went professionally for Westmoreland, but it was not something that he had any control over. Here's hoping that he continues to be healthy and some day work in baseball ops for a major league team.

I was just reading this on BleacherReport. Very sad indeed. It bugs me that prospects in this organization have their entire careers ahead of them while shooting themselves and driving 111 MPH, drunk through the woods, but Ryan Westmoreland will never play in a Major League game.

To be fair, though, Ryan Westmoreland probably isn't ever going to shoot himself in the leg or drive 111 MPH in a 45 zone while drunk, either.
