A friend of mine just texted me that the Yankees signed Manny Delcarmen to a minor league contract.
This is unconfirmed by me because I am too lazy to google this.

Your confirmation is confirmed:
Yankees signed RHP Manny Delcarmen to a minor league contract. (Which contains a clause to clean MrNE's toilet for a year)
He also gets a spring training invite. Delcarmen, who turns 30 next month, posted a 5.59 ERA and 33/15 K/BB ratio over 38 2/3 innings last season with the Triple-A affiliates for the Mariners and Rangers. The former Red Sox reliever hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2010 as a member of the Rockies and will likely serve as organizational depth.

It's been confirmed by Joel Sherman. It's a minor league contract with a spring training invite. Manny, of course, hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2010. That normally would make you a candidate for the Red Sox starting rotation.

I always had a soft spot for MDC, I used to tell everyone he was my cousin when he was coming up through the farm.
He's no traitor, in fact it probably pained him a little to sign there. He was a local talent that said he only wanted to sign with Boston out of High School.

Of course, the Yankees doctors will inject him with whatever it is they inject their reclamation projects with, and he will take over for Mariano Rivera by midseason.
Which won't make him a traitor, but it will add to the list of reasons why New York should fall into the ocean.

Pretty sure that the Yankees are on their way to rebuilding the 2007 Red Sox bullpen. Okie, MDC, who's next? Keith Foulke?
