Based on the stats of both teams hitters it might be a 0-0 tie.

It's a marathon, not a sprint and all those silly metaphors. Let's start the season off with a win!
While the season is indeed a marathon, I would like to see them sprint out to an immediate winning streak, rather than the crap they pulled last April. And if 162-0 is boring, I'd be happy to be bored. 162 wins, all of which involve late inning heroics and/or masterful pitching performances, would be my kind of boring! Go Sox!

161-1.
We'll lose one game to the Orioles, just so Buck Showalter can feel really good about himself.

I am glad that this game is on both NESN and ESPN2. Last night, I tried to turn on ESPN 2, and I got a f**king "satellite searching for signal" message. Today, I decide to watch on NESN, because as much as I'm interested in hearing what Terry Francona has to say, I'm really not interested in what the rest of ESPN has to say. But NESN keeps cutting out. ESPN seems to be coming in.
F**k you, flying space objects.
