If you like this idea, *please* take action!
We should use the capability of the internet to mount a very fast public campaign to convince Terry Francona to come back to celebrate at Fenway this Friday, April 20th.
He has publicly communicated the hurt he feels from last season. But he was so important in winning the World Series championships, ending "The Curse" along the way. He was so well loved and admired by fans here, and Boston is a sports town; it is almost de rigueur for athletes to say that "the Boston fans are The Best."
Why don't we do a viral invitation to him and to John Henry, so we can get Francona here after all?
Please join me in getting the ball rolling, by whatever means you can. Every effort will add up!
Thank you,
Terry Mase

Terry,
I completely agree that it is a shame that Francona has chosen to not take part in Friday's festivities. With that said, I completely agree with his reasons. This team has an incredibly long history of ripping people on their way out the door and I don't blame Tito one bit for being pissed.
Not only that, but if you want to start a letter writing campaign, it's best to include where to send letters/emails/phone calls.
With that said, I hope you decide to stick around our little corner of RSN.
