Understandably. The kicker of it all is that a pool of about 12 people actually listened to your show (given the fact that all you got was a $35 annual operating budget), so it really wasn't hurting the school per se (albeit the flyers brought more attention because it said "beer").

I never got banned from my buddy's college radio show, so that makes me better than you. I would do bits on there involving a gay Justin Timberlake and we never heard from his agent or from the school. We basically could have done anything we wanted without too much worry.

I would be shocked if as many as 12 people ever listened to any show on that station.

I am amazed that the station still exists. I assume that this means that the fascist student government was somehow overthrown.

I too was a college DJ. I remember we had a stack of index cards with PSA's on them and we were supposed to read one every 30 minutes or so. On each card there was a date. If it was later than the date on the card we were supposed to throw the card out. On one particular card where it normally had a date it said “TFN”. Neither I, or my idiot co-host could figure out what TFN meant, so we asked someone to call in with an answer. 10 minutes later we didn’t receive a call, so we decided we weren’t going to play any more music until we got a caller to prove to us that someone was listening. We rambled on complaining that nobody was listening for about 20 minutes until someone finally called in and said, on the air, “It f*cking stands for til further notice you f*cking a*sholes, now play a god damn record!”

We thought our careers were over, but we never heard a word about it.

All of our PSAs were on CDs which would basically interrupt whatever we were trying to play (such as Japanese pop songs that sounded like 50s rock-n-roll). We would critique the PSA after it and its message. I'm surprised that the WWF never contacted us about our thoughts regarding the sexual interractions of pandas.
