I thought that Sox fans who head on the road (including me) would appreciate knowing where the team stays while they are on the road, so I figured I'd start a thread and see if together RSN members can put together a list.

I'd personally love to figure out where the Sox are going to be when they visit Wrigley.

The only road hotel I know of for sure is Baltimore, where the Sox stay at the Renaissance Inner Harbor.

Any others?

All teams in Detroit stay at the Ritz-Carlton, safely ensconsed from scary ol' Motown in nearby Dearborn.

Well when they play Tampa they say they stay at a haunted hotel. I know Remy mentioned it during the game yesterday. Williamson saw a ghost at that hotel:Link I don't think they give the name of the hotel though.

They stay at the Grand Hyatt in NYC.

There's also a Ritz-Carlton about a block away from Jacobs Field in Cleveland as well where most teams probably stay. It's attached to a mall (underneath the hotel) as well as being attached to Gund Arena (where the Cavaliers play).

I'm reading Joe Castiglione's book right now...he goes city by city, doesn't always say where they stay. But I just got to Cleveland, and he says they stay at the Marriott Key Center.

In Tampa, the haunted hotel the Sox stay at is the Renaissance Vinoy Center.

So, the list so far:

Baltimore: Renaissance Inner Harbor
Cleveland: Marriott Key Center
Detroit: Ritz Carleton
New York: Grand Hyatt
Tampa: Renaissance Vinoy Center

Let's keep 'em coming!

I'm quite sure that the Sox stay at the new Westin on Eighth and 43rd Street when they are in New York. I know they used to stay at the Grand Hyatt, but there were a lot of Sox sightings (and autograph seakers) near the Westin.

I know they stayed at the Hyatt in 2002 and 2003. I had a Merloni encounter in the elevator, and a Rickey Henderson encounter in the coffee line in the lobby, and I sat across from 'Tek, Nomar, Merloni and Carlos Baerga in the bar.

Anyone know where they stay when they are in Texas?

It's either the Arlington Hilton, Arlington Wyndam or the Four Seasons in Los Colinas.

In Toronto I would guess they stay at the 4 Seasons or Park Hyatt.

Met Larry Bird in the bar at the 4 seasons - signed my pack of cigarettes. And during basketball season the area around the hotels was crawling with players. (The two hotels are about a 30 second walk from eachother). Coming home from a late lecture I saw Shaq getting a starbucks.

Anyroad, I would guess it's where the baseball players stay too.

Nah, I just tossed out what I knew in hopes someone would have the details on Texas. I have a World Series program that I would like to eventually have signed by the whole team, so with them coming here to Texas, I thought I might get a good start on that.

I have a program from the 1999 Stars Cup Championship that I did finally manage to get every signature on.

I have no ill intentions. :)

I am pretty sure the Sox stay at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco when they have a series in Oakland. Nice hotel.

Ok, Joe Castiglione's book confirms that in NYC, the Sox moved from the Hyatt to the Westin Times Square.

Joe's book also says the Sox USED to stay at the Westin Chicago-Michigan Avenue, but they moved...not sure where.

This is a good thread...
