What's lost in all of this is that the guy's name is Braun, of course he had a shitload of testosterone. Duh.

I understand baseball's thinking on the Manny thing. He didn't serve a suspension last year – but he missed well over the 100 games that a suspension would have cost him by choosing to just retire. If he comes back now and still serves 50 games, that will be 200 games missed due to a 100 game suspension. It would have reflected better on Manny if he had just served his suspension like a man instead of retiring, no comment, and then trying to come back a year later. But 200 games missed for a 100 game suspension is still ample punishment. Manny certainly didn't gain anything by going this route.
