I expect that Wakefield might do some "experimenting" in this game too. We should see his curve a lot.
In other words I'm not going to panic about the outcome of this one though you always, always want to paste the Yankees if you can when they come to town.
Big, big chance for both pitchers to prove they're healthy and capable, too.
Prediction: the Yankees will treat this like a playoff game and try to hammer Boston's improved pitching staff to prove them mortal, and the Red Sox are going to take the opportunity to work out a few things and test the Yankee lineup when it's not of vital game importance. Whichever team wins will gain bragging rights until the teams meet for real, though, so a lot of players on both sides will treat this like more than your usual spring training game.

But I'm still fired up in a big way.
The menu for the game tonight, Wild Mushroom Risotto, roast rack of lamb and grilled aparagus!
It's on like Donkey Kong!

A couple of days ago I signed up for the $14.95/year Gameday Audio because we don't have enough radios around the house for me to listen at my computer even to Mariners games when THEY play.... So now I can hear any game I want to.
It's great to be sitting here -- in the little town on the Oregon coast where I live -- right now listening to WKRO and the Yanks/Red Sox game live...great, except for the score. Oh, well, there's still lots of time in this game. Maybe Myers will come in and give up a grand slam.
