One of our members asked if we could help promote the following charity, and I feel it's worthwhile that we do so. Information is posted below. Please contribute if you are able.
The New York-Penn League Charitable Foundation is a 501©(3) organization that was created prior to the 2003 season to give back to the communities that house our proud New York-Penn League clubs. Over its short existence, the Foundation has accomplished a tremendous amount. In 2005 alone, NY-Penn League Clubs donated over $560,000 to their local communities through monetary donations, tickets, merchandise, and all sorts of fantastic charitable fundraisers and events. This does not include the countless hours given to communities via player appearances, mascot appearances, or various staff members who continuously roll up their sleeves to help build playgrounds, ball fields, and improve their overall communities as a whole. During the 2007 season the NY-Penn League teams will continue to provide not only a fun experience at the ballpark, but will continue their mission of giving back to the fans and communities that support them so strongly.

A Few Updates
-Jon Lester Bobblehead (Portland Sea Dogs) is now up for bidding
-The highest bidding item so far is to throw out the first pitch at a Brooklyn Cyclones Game/Cal Ripken Auto Base at $51.00
-The Autographed balls of B.J Upton, Carlos Pena, C.C. Sabathia, and Chase Utley so far have earned a total combined fee of $5.00.
This all means that the bidding is very economical for all the items still.
If you can please bid, its going to a worthy cause, that helps keep the NYPL in operation.
