I think any criticism has to start with the umpires who were oblivious enough to fall for it.

I saw DJ miss a lazy line drive that he "jumped" for. I thought he was either wearing cement cleats or there was an imbalnce in earth's gravitational pull at that very instant. He looked like the effort would have had him jump out of the stadium, yet his feet stayed on the ground.

I'm sure that most of you by now have seen last night's Jeter facade, where he danced around in pain, much like a Spanish soccer player, pretending he had been hit by a pitch in a key part of a big game. This was not, in my opinion, an example of a classy player.
Remember the Tampa Bay game last season when the ball hit the bottom of the bat and he fell over like it hit him on the hand? He's a good baseball player. No other way around it.
