Now you know the reason that they're conveniently keeping him away from the team.

Uh... let's get back to f*cking the sh*t. Negative nellies should go elsewhere. It ain't over 'till the big-boobed lady with the beer gut starts hollerin'.

Normally I would agree, especially since I stated as such in the opening post. However, NJSoxFan gets a pass, only because he's been gone so long.

Aceves is f**king the sh*t. Who's gonna join him in the bottom of the 8th?
Not Papi, not Lavarnway, not Salty...

Well, its now or never time. I would say Sox are more than due for a walk off win, or just a win in general.

Guess its never time

I guess it was never, as opposed to now. When do the Bruins start again?

At least they phucked Matusz's sh!t, and Jakubauskas's too.

Unfortunately, Lackey's sh!t has been phucked more than a 10 cent Thai hooker.

Here's what Lackey needs to do: (1) Ask Wakefield to show him how to throw a knuckleball and (2) F*ck some sh*t with his new awesome pitch. Seriously. Lackey would be better off throwing something completely different at this point to get his sh*t f*cking license back.

I'm just anxiously awaiting Buchholz coming back to f*ck this sh*t. Buchholz at 75-80% is probably better than Lackey.

I think Lackey is about to figure it out. He was sharp last night.

I take what I said about Lackey earlier back. I think a better solution for reversing his pitching woes is more fiber. You can't f*ck this sh*t without fiber. A 6-pack of bran muffins should do the trick. Ellsbury had 3 bran muffins before last night's game and hit an in-the-parker. There's no telling what it might do for Lackey.

Sadly, I believe Lackey is the sh*t that was and is f*cked.

That something completely different would be called "strikes."

He has what I assume is supposed to be a slider that he throws to righties. It starts out looking like a ball, and ends up being a foot and half outside and in the dirt. That would be a great pitch if Alfonso Soriano was still alive. But he's not, and it's not.

Other than that, it's a whole lot of 92 and 93 around the corners, which might be effective if any umpire gave him the corners. But they don't, and it isn't.

The guy still tries to battle through it, and I'd like to respect him for that, but he's basically turned into Daisuke Matsuzaka with fewer pitches. I know there are rumors about his elbow or whatever other physical ailments are holding him back, but a foot outside is still a foot outside with a healthy elbow.

I would love to know what the deal is behind the scenes. Does he have an issue with Curt Young? Is he not putting the work into game planning? Does he have some ongoing feud with certain umpires? I mean, even if his problem is ultimately just that he sucks, he still shouldn't suck as bad as he did yesterday against a minor league team.

F**k this shit.

What does that even mean? You'd like to respect him for taking the mound every time his name is called? I'd respect him a lot more if he DIDN'T try to battle through it. He should fake an injury, or better yet, admit that he sucks and that his contract is insane and announce to the world that he can't sleep at night because he stole so much money so he's retiring.

F*ck This Shit!

But instead Lackey will just stare Tito down as he goes to take the ball from him. Yeah, makes a lot of sense to stare your manager down when you just gave up 8 runs in under 5 innings. How about just handing the ball over without complaint and tossing a water cooler in the dugout and saying, "F*CK THIS SH*T!!!" That and maybe figuring out how to pitch again. That would be nice too.

First of all, it means that I wish I could respect him for wanting to fight through it. But I can't at this point, because every time he's given the chance to fight through it he blows it.

It's not taking the mound when his name is called, though. It's that he still wants to pitch even when things aren't going well. I would respect that...if he ever actually got out of the jams. At this point it seems more like arrogance than confidence, though.

Lackey's darting breaking pitch is just too much for you to take. NOBODY has hit that pitch all year. He needs to throw it more often. Also, the fastball right down the middle is a pitch he should throw for the HR derby next year because I think it's easier to hit than Cano's Dad's throws.

That's all well and good, but I don't want him throwing that pitch to Adrian Gonzalez. It will mess up his swing, or his shoulder, or something.

Cano double - Yankees up 4-2 in the bottom of 8 with Slappy up now.

Yes, I am rooting for the Yankees. I'm still holding out hope for a blimp crashing into the stadium, but the sound of Michael Kay's "Yaaaaaannnnnkeeeees Win" is only acceptable for this particular circumstance. Otherwise-ear poison.
