Game time: 7:05 pm

Scheduled starters: Jon Lester (15-9, 3.49) v. Alfredo Simon (4-9, 4.85)

The game will be on NESN and WEEI

Baltimore weather: 4 pm observation at KBWI: Wind out of the southeast at 8 pm, visibility 10 miles, few clouds at 2,500 feet, scattered clouds at 4,400 feet, broken layers at 9,000 and 14,000 feet, temperature 80F, DP 68F

Forecast: Warm and muggy with showers and thundershowers likely at some time during the evening. Right now the rain is to the south and to the northeast, but there is convection upstream and a good chance for some rain.

Maybe it will be like last night when it rained for about 10 minutes!

Meanwhile, down in St. Pete, the Yankees are starting Dellin Betances, who has 2/3 inning of major league pitching under his belt...

Baltimore has never beaten Lester...ever. That trend will not stop tonight.

Win.

Yes, the Rays play the Yankees. And the Yankees currently lead off a GS by Tex 5-0

Thank God the Yankees get their own rules. That 5 run homer is huge.

JJ Hardy is one of those Orioles players that I've really come to hate over the course of this season.

Weak ground ball to JJ Hardy, not getting it done.

Hard grounder that takes a bad hop and hits him in the face would have been a much better move by Drew there.

Is it me, or is Buck Showalter starting to develop some Mike Scioscia mannerisms?

I'm as happy as anyone about some of the things that are going on "around the majors" today…but I think they might be slightly overdoing the score updates. Seems very dangerous to me.

Welcome back, Dustin Pedroia.

Tesh is still a horse-faced c**t, but I appreciate his efforts this evening.
